Milano boutique revamping
The Maison revamps its Milanese boutique in via della Spiga
Serapian introduces the new concept of Milan’s store in via della Spiga 42, developed by the Milanese architect Riccardo Salvi to evoke the utmost elegance of the Maison.
Materials and colours harmoniously blend in the two-levels 80sq space to describe the strong relationship between Serapian and Milano, a place where sophisticated coyness hides a timeless, authentic beauty.
The boutique thus turns into a welcoming, polished «salotto milanese». An intimate parlour full of light, the perfect place to experience the outstanding savoir-faire of the Maison products, impeccably hand-crafted both for men and women by the in-house artisans still using the same techniques created by its founder Stefano Serapian.
A rich Italian velvet covers the walls in a grey hue. Palladiana floorings come from Bardiglio Nuvolato marble slabs, artfully crashed by hand. Shelves and panels are decked out in Candoglia marble powder, a highly symbolic choice since it is the same quality used to build the Duomo, the famous Milan cathedral. While drawers are shielded by thick slabs of yellow marble, recalling the Maria Teresa Yellow, a distinctive tone for the Milanese buildings of the XIX century, as well as a typical Serapian colour.
