A bespoke Mestieri d’Arte creation that sums up Serapian’s dedication to art, design and high craftsmanship, the Ice Trunk showcases both the maison’s material expertise and its ability to weave techniques and concepts through innovative ideas. As its name suggests, the trunk is painstakingly crafted to resemble an oversized frozen cube, with a composition of materials and techniques that come together to mimic the translucent, dynamic surface of a piece of ice.
The Ice Trunk is defined by a metal structure punctuated by light gold hardware, and its surface is created in Serapian’s iconic Mosaico motif. The techniques and materials on the woven surface come from some of Serapian’s latest innovations in Mosaico materiality, which over the past few collections have been defining some of the maison’s leather creations. These include microchains, nappa, and suede, in a cool palette of matte whites and off-whites. Adding dynamism to the woven surface is a series of cool and off-white patent leather and light gold laminated suede elements.
Serapian once again collaborates with Bisazza, with light palladium tesserae animating the trunk’s surface. This continues Serapian and Bisazza’s ongoing collaboration, which made its debut in February for the Fall/Winter 2026 collection: for this collection, Serapian’s Mosaico was enriched with gold mosaic tesserae by the Italian mosaic authority woven into the leather.
The Ice Trunk opens to reveal a compact bar (being contained within a cube measuring 60cm per side), designed to hold two glasses and a bottle on a small shelf, with further compartments (two drawers underneath and two on each door) offering space to hold bar tools and other objects.
The Ice Trunk is a fitting showcase of Serapian’s artisanal savoir faire and a demonstration of its dedication to the finest Mestieri d’Arte, as well as a desire to always push the limits of high craftsmanship, blending traditional crafts with innovation.
